Nerdz47 app for iPhone and iPad

Nerdz47 was designed to provide categories of useful information that every Nerd should have handy access to, and also create communities of like-minded people that are given the opportunity to communicate directly with each other through the use of the N2N database, hosted on our Nerdz47.com website.
Users can also participate in our Awardz program and get cash prizes for helping us with the creation of future versions of the app, by submitting suggestions for information categories.
Here are some details of the features of Nerdz47, and what it offers to our users:
• NEWZ
This is the page of our website you should start every Monday morning with because it’s where we provide expanded information about our usual Friday tweet to everyone who follows us @TheRealNerdz47, and includes pics that users have tweeted us, recent press releases, write-ups about us, new item additions to our growing Store, opening of Submission Periods for our Awardz Programs, news about members, and just about anything we feel is worthwhile for you to know... and well also be looking forward to receiving Newztips from our users (sorry, no Awardz for newztips - and please, no leaking of any secrets).
• STORE
The Nerdz47 store will feature three departments: Read, Use, and Wear.
Unpaid nerd interns chained to tables in our dungeon-like basement have been assigned the task of selecting eBook/Print Books, Albums, Audiobooks, DVDs, special nerdy items, and nerd-attracting logo’d clothing, and we’re pleased with most of their selections.
If you have a book, useful item or garment that you feel should be included, please tweet us @TheRealNerdz47 and if it’s nerdy enough, we’ll consider adding it to our offerings.
• N2N (Nerdz-to-Nerdz)
N2N is a new global community of like-minded Nerdz. By using it, a member will be able to log in by zip code and Twitter ID, and locate other local members with the same or nearby zip codes. Our goal with N2N is definitely NOT to create an online dating service (but if that happens, it works for us): it is intended to encourage communication between people who share interests… and pics from the recent Austin, TX Wizard World convention.
• AWARDZ
We will be opening up our Awardz Program soon to allow users to offer suggestions for an additional 10 general topics to be added to the first release, to help us bring it up from 37 to a full 47 topics - and at the same time get some AWARDZ out to the most important Nerdz in the world... our users.
Awards for successful topics (ones that are actually used) range from $100 first prize for submission of each successful suggestion (actually used in the app), with smaller awards ($75, $50, $25) for later submissions of the same winning topics, and NERDZ47 hats and T-Shirts for runner-ups
Follow us on Twitter @TheRealNerdz47 to receive info on submission dates, Awardz winners, updates on app construction progress, category changes, and popular topics already submitted that should be avoided, plus number of followers, and other relevant information.
• VIDEOS
The first few scripts have just been completed for a series of shorts that will be featured on our website and also on YouTube, featuring some of our users re-enacting situations that our users might encounter... and if one of our users wants to submit a video short, we’ll consider posting in and sending a reward from our selection of items in the STORE section of our website at Nerdz47.com.
Considering the above features, plus the fun and information of using our app, we hope you will enjoy joining with us in a community of nerds who can actually have the opportunity to meet each other in person and gather at the Wizard World Comic Con conventions we are planning on participating.
